My six top tools that I will use to run my photography business in 2023

Coming in at number one is HoneyBook. Having a client management system is critical to any business. Although there are several platforms to choose from, today I will talk about the one I use: Honeybook. With Honeybook, you can send contracts and set up each client as a separate project. You can accept payments and schedule emails, questionnaires, contracts, and brochures. You can even include your Honeybook contact form directly on your website. The fee to use this tool starts at around 20.00 a month.

Coming in at number two is Canva. I use Canva to create all of my Youtube thumbnails; however, you can also edit videos, design posters and banners, brochures, and a lot more. It has both a free and paid subscription. I use the subscription because it offers me much more. The fee for the pro accounts is 12.99 a month.

Coming in at Number three is Pic-time. As photographers, we generate much of our revenue by selling images. Pic-time allows you to set up galleries for clients and generate sales through your online store.

Coming in at number four is Imagine AI. This tool, for me, has been a game-changer! It used to take me weeks to edit thousands of images. Now with AI technology, my editing time has been reduced to minutes. This tool, through AI, will learn your editing style and recreate it. If you don't have a style, no problem; you can choose from their talent library to edit your images. You can select a pay-as-you-go plan or a monthly plan. It depends on how many photos you edit monthly.

Coming in at number five, Aftershoot. Culling images is the most trying thing I do as a photographer; after shooting an event and capturing thousands of photos culling used to be painstaking. Now, all I have to do is upload my images into Aftershoot, and it does the rest. Removing blurred, overexposed, and repeated photos in a matter of minutes. It's been a real game-changer for my business. They offer both a free and subscription account.

Coming in at number six is Squarespace. Now that platforms like Instagram are becoming more reel-based, photographers need a place to showcase their work. With Squarespace, you can build your brand by creating a beautiful online presence. I've used several other platforms; however, Squarespace is my choice for building our brand.
